Wednesday Eening

Well, I am now typing on my old HP. My brother in law put in a new hard drive and I like to use it once in awhile to see how it is working. So far, so good.......I am having a problem with the NEW computer, it does not want to connect to the wireless I am getting messages that the signal is excellent, but it will not connect. If I move the computer next to the modem it will connect and I can move back to the living room and it will work till I turn it off.

I contacted ACER and they had me disable to ACER e net management, but the problem is still there. I wish I had $10 for each computer woe that I have. Does everyone out there have problems too??? I can not be the only one that has computer troubles....

Today I ordered my Thanksgiving turkey. I found a turkey farm and they advertise that they are antibiotic and hormone free.....I will have to decide exactly if and how much better it will taste.

I am cooking the Thanksgiving Dinner. On the menu, turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, vegetables don't know which ones yet, stuffing, and dessert. When we have dinners, the hostess gives out the assignments and we bring things. My sister Shawnna is going to do 10 pounds of mashed potatoes, I think I will give Kathy the desserts, Janice is always good for vegetables. We will have wine and beet. It is surprising that no one in the family really likes mixed drinks....

I ordered the turkey today. I got lost going to the farm. I turned right when I should have turned left. I did find it, I also bought Turkey Jerky. I like Beef Jerky, and the turkey was quite tasty too. They had all sort of turkey parts in the freezer; the prices were comparable to the super markets. I am looking forward to the day. I took of the week of Thanksgiving; I am ususally frustrated trying to shop and cook while I am working that week. I can get their early and avoid the crowd. I ususally order a fresh turkey, because it does not have to thaw; it is difficult to thaw a 23 pound turkey in the refrigerator...I will pick it up on Wednesday, put it in a cooler with ice in the garage and start roasting it early i the morning. In PA you can keep it in cooler because it is always cold in November. I guess I could put it out on the deck but bears have been know in the area and I know they would smell and eat the bird.....

  1. Sounds like a great dinner! We'll be going to Missouri to spend Thanksgiving with Ken's mom and stepdad. I'm not sure what's on the menu, but I know it will be good!
