ALERT THE MEDIA, MARCH IS GONE

Actually, the media alerted me.  I can honestly say that I am glad that February 2010 is over and gone.

The stats are in and this winter season has been the third snowiest since record keep has begun.    I think it is somewhere in the range of 75 inches of snow.

The worst was 1950-1951.    I vaguely remember that one.   I remember watching out the door for him to come home.  I had posted about it in SENTIMENTAL SUNDAY GENE BLOG

Only five more inches more accumulation is needed to break that record.   What the hell  we can do it……..

I think if it doesn’t clear up in two to three weeks.  PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL  will be to go into the witness protection program…..

The forecast is for above freezing days and below freezing nights, this will allow the snow to melt slowly and decrease the rapid melt of the snow pack.

  1. I was just beginning to admire the greenof the grass and mosses here in the English Lakes when once again I awoke to another coating of snow and ice outside. Granted it is just a thin powdery layer but...the frost with it makes it treacherous.
Our first day of March was mild and I thought nothing of going outside in a Tshirt. Today I am back to a scarf and thick jumper whilst feding the birds. Manic weather or not?
I hope the snow mlts slowly for you all. Floods are the last thing you want.

  3. We have had a lot of snow over the years in March but it usually starts melting after a short time. I am so sick of winter.
