DEBRIDEMENT

debridement Definition
de·bride·ment (di brēd′mənt)
noun
Surgery the cutting away of dead or contaminated tissue or foreign material from a wound to prevent infection

Related Forms:
debride de·bride′ transitive verb debridedbrid′ed, debridingbrid′·ing

I was going to say that I was going to do a debridement of my Favorites, but somehow the word sounds nice, but I do not know if cutting away dead tissue would equate to cutting away at dead website or websites that I no long use????? Another word I like is Abattoir.

abattoir Definition
ab·at·toir (ab′ə twär′, ab′ə twär′)
noun
a slaughterhouse

Doesn't sound anything like its definition

  1. When I hear debridement, I think decubiti, and extremely messy cultures (full of multiple bacteria). I'd choose another word! ;)
