DOWN TIME

JUST sitting here waiting to go home. Today I had no assignment but someone called off and I ended up doing three lung cases. How they do them, almost everything now is done with a scope. They make a small incision and then take a peak inside and then decide what needs to be done.

The first man had a malignancy, so they took a chunk out and put in a mesh with radioactive Iodine. Second was a lady who had pneumonia, so they took another look and drained everything that was there that was not suppose to be. Third was a man who had about two liters (think a large pepsi bottle) of fluid which was drained and it turned out also to be a malignancy. It was sort of a depressing day in that room.

Then I had to go to relieve the person in the GI lab and did three more cases there, and lastly we did an emergency pacemaker insertion. Hopefull that will be all for today.

I am off tomorrow and have nothing planned. It is to start snowing in the evening and snow on Wednesday. I am REALLY tired of this winter. It is so cold and it has been snowing for weeks. I want to was my car but it is too cold.

Somehow I have managed to get yellow under the purple letters, I do not know how I highlighted the lines, but I can't get rid of it. I am wondering if it will appear in my text. I am too lazy to stop and do it over. So, if it is yellow so be it.
