NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVNIA

Yesterday I made the trip to visit the kid.   No matter how you go it is still between five and six hour driving time.   The leaves on all the trees are now green and that is better than the barren, post apocalyptic look of winter.    Up north the trees are coming out.  You can see the ground and branches still as you drive by.

Today is the kids birthday, last night we all went to a Japanese hibachi restaurant and ate.   The chef did not throw any shrimp tails in his hat like I have seen done before.  The food was good, as usual.  Emily’s choice of entrée was Hibachi tofu, it was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. It did taste good.

She tried to get off today but two members of the team are already off this week so she had to work.   I did not wrap her present yet so she will open it when she gets home.

This weekend she and I will venture out and go to some of the small towns in the area and see what there is to peruse. Chuck will be back at the Cat Ranch.

The last time we were up she had mentioned she would like a garden gnome,  well we found one and Chuck placed it in the garden.   About an hour later she went out to pull some weeds and started to cackle, she found the gnome.   Picture will soon follow.
