Not in the 100’s like Texas but on the way up there.  Today I decided to give the house a clean-a-thon.    I am about half done, or half to go depending if you are an optimist or pessimist.    I have been doing it in stages with stops for breaks.   Like reading my blog list, catching up on email and things like that.

These flowers are on Emily’s trestle or arbor.   I don’t know what the correct work is for the structure.   It is a wooden structure that is at the beginning of the walkway from the driveway to the stone walk that leads to the back door.   Roses are also climbing over the wooden form.

The former owner had a perennial garden and it is a surprise to see what comes up next.   We planted a few annuals to fill in the spaces.   I have an idea to extend the garden to include the entire triangle behind the walkway.

Not much going on here at all.   I can do all the cleaning because the A/C is on.  But don’t tell the kid because she does not have A/C, she is young and can tough it out…..

  1. I know what you mean about the young toughing it out. I didn't have air conditioning until my second husband passed away. I was 37 as was he but he had an extremely serious heart problem. I got a window air conditioner after he passed away and we just got central about 4 or 5 years ago when we had to replace the furnace.

  2. It is supposed to be a high of 70 today, and it is so welcome after our 2 100 days in a row.
