ANOTHER WINTER AND HOW TO GET SCREWED BY THE WORKS DEPARTMENT

Every winter it is the same thing over and over again.   The  road service for my section of the plan is abysmal at best.  I have complained in previous winters but all I get is a run around how they have 400 miles of road and mine is not a “priority” street.

Right now it is a sheet of ice and I can see across the highway and that road was clear when I got up at 7 AM.   During the blizzard of 2010 we had two feet of snow on the street and it took them 48 hours to get an initial plowing.

The only thing I can imagine is that they plow the Work Department employees streets first, followed the “officials” next, then the rich people streets and if there is any salt left possibly mine.

I like to post a message on Facebook but they do not have an account.   Guess the service is so bad they do not want to deal with any potential postings.

  1. They leave the side streets till last here to, and by then it is almost impossible to get it off cause it isd ice then. Luckily we live on the route to the State department of Roads and their are offices across the streets so they are fairly prompt.
