SNOW

We live in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, which is part of the Appalachian Mountains.  The snow started yesterday about 2 PM and it was very windy.   There was a dusting of snow and when I woke this morning, after a discussion with myself in the warm bed, I got up and looked out.  There was only about two more inches and I thought it would be worse because of the wind howling all night.

When I went out the garage door to get the paper I found that the driveway was frozen, so there was no shoveling but I did sprinkle salt on there and the sidewalk.  When I got out the door an hour later it was melted.

What I was surprised about the whole thing was the municipality had salted the street and in less than five minutes he was finished.   It is a cul de sac  with about ten houses, hence the quick salting.

It is to be on the colder side for the next five day, there is cold, really cold and frigid.  It is only to be cold.
